Meet the Coordinator of Assessment and Strategic Planning


Matt Khoury joined the Kennesaw State University family in January, 2016, as the Coordinator of Assessment and Strategic Planning.  In this role, Matt provides leadership for strategic planning, annual planning, assessment, and reporting for all Division of Student Affairs departments.

Matt has been active in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) since the mid-1990s.  For several years, he has served as an American College Personnel Association (ACPA) and NASPA conference program reviewer.  He was honored to be selected as a participant in the 2018 NASPA Region III/SACSA Mid Managers Institute and one of only 30 participants for the 2003 National Housing Training Institute.  He was the 2003 Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers (GLACUHO) Outstanding Research Award recipient.

Matt currently is working on his Doctor of Education in Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education from Valdosta State University in Georgia, and received his Bachelor’s degree in English from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire and his Master’s degree in Administrative Science, with an emphasis on Quality Management and Systems Design, from the University of Wisconsin:  Green Bay.  Prior to KSU, Matt worked in various Assessment, Residence Life, and Student Conduct leadership roles, including Assistant Dean/Director of Residence Life at Aurora University in Illinois, Assistant Director of Campus Living at Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts, Complex Director at Eastern Illinois University, and Residence Hall Director at St. Norbert College in Wisconsin.
