Meet the VP for Student Affairs
Dr. White serves as Vice President for Student Affairs at Kennesaw State University. As the Divisional leader focused on assuring student success beyond the classroom she will oversee, manage, and direct the University’s Division of Student Affairs and provide campus-wide leadership in planning, integrating, and conducting co-curricular student programs and activities. White also will collaborate across all areas and constituents within the university to enhance the student experience, including service to students, parents, alumni, community members, faculty, staff, and campus administrators.
Dr. White oversees, manages and directs the division assessment process, planning and strategic initiatives, global learning fee and student activities and budget advisory committees, student development programs for special student populations, student involvement, career services center, residence life, club sports, intramural and recreation activities, student conduct and academic integrity, center for student leadership and student success services to include counseling and psychological services, the center for young adult addiction and recovery, parent and family programs and the veterans resource center.
Dr. White has remained committed to the growth and development of students; pursued opportunities for students to challenge themselves and one another to lead with compassion and integrity; and advocated on students’ behalf to involve them in the life of University and its’ surrounding community
Prior to assuming the vice president position at Kennesaw State University, Dr. White served as the Associate Vice Chancellor & Dean of Students at Louisiana State University from 2005 to 2015. She served as an advocate for the needs of students and worked to provide a student-centered experience to support their academic pursuits and enable their success.
Previously, Dr. White held positions in student affairs at University of Miami, Mercer University and Florida State University.
White holds a Doctor of Education degree from Florida State University, a Master of Education degree from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Stetson University in DeLand, FL.
